A Note from the Director
We want to keep you informed about what is going on with Kids Against Hunger St. Peters. Our website may not be a typical website but we are trying to convey to you what we are excited about.
In looking down this page, I realize it is kinda like our photo albums for the past few years. (That dates me, I don’t think people have albums anymore).
When you have a minute reminisce with me as we look back at what God has been up to in Kids Against Hunger St. Peters.
Welcome to Notes from the Director.

Meals packed and volunteers for January – July 2024
Two fundraiser events were held this spring.
Thinking outside of the box,
for ways to help make a difference!
MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY 2024
Our goal was 100,000 meals packed on this year’s Make A Difference Day. We came close and will complete it in a packing very soon. Watch for details, there may be an opportunity to volunteer to come join us at a food packing event.
Our totals for the day!!
92,000 meals
185+ volunteers
20 staff/team members
A great time was had by everyone. Hotdogs, chips and soda/water was donated by a staff member for lunch.
A little history of where the food is going…
A short time ago we received a desperate plea for more meals in Kenya. The meals we were able to ship last year accomplished exactly what we at Kids Against Hunger St. Peters are shooting for… doors were opened to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Board member Karl Leiber has plans (with a group of men from Ministry to Men) to personally accompany Warren Click into Nairobi this October. We will have the 100,000 meals from this year’s Make A Difference Day on the ground in Kenya for distribution.

Kids Against Hunger St. Peters goes to Peru!!!
A group of thirteen are in Peru for a mission trip. They will be packing food and distributing it to needy Peruvians and working at a mission school in Pacasmayo doing construction work, painting, and helping complete a soccer field which will reach the entire community. They will post updates on KAHStPeters Facebook page. If you haven’t yet, ‘Like’ our Facebook page to get the latest news.
Praise God, we all made it to Pacasmayo! Very interesting travel experiences. The final thing… we loaded the bus just fine with all the VBS stuff, gifts and the group for the final leg of the trip from Trujillo to Pacasmayo but when the driver tried to leave, the bus was too high to clear the door opening to the compound. We had it so loaded down it fit going in.
It’s been a busy, productive week. We had vacation bible school, the groundwork on the soccer field is complete, ready for the company who will come do the final process, a food packing in Trujillo, Peru. We thank God for all He is allowing us to accomplish. Several construction projects are getting done.
Please continue to pray for the entire team.
Update…May 9th
Final prep day for the soccer field installation. Plus the turf and filler pellets were delivered today. Lots of hard work!!
Tomorrow the turf should start going in!
Please pray for the team and the Peruvians who are working to install the soccer field. It will be used to reach many people, those in nearby towns as well.

Take a look at two packings that are making news and we still have several more packings in April. Book your food packing for May or June.
March 16, 2023
Great beginning for 2023 and more to come!!
Kids Against Hunger St. Peters joined with Convoy of Hope to send 95,000 meals for relief to Turkey and Syria. We continue to share the love of God through meeting the needs of the starving around the world.
A great time was had by all who attended the Global Compassion Ministries Gala to learn about the upcoming mission trip to Peru. We were able to sample Peruvian culture and hear some heart moving testimonies and stories. Board members Karl Leiber and Terry Estes both shared their hearts regarding the ministry. Kids Against Hunger St. Peters Director Steve Williams and his wife, Maribel shared their vision for the mission trip. They were followed by Pastor Daniel Duke as he shared about his time as a missionary in Peru, and how this trip is going to benefit those in Peru.
(We have a complete team going but you can be part of what God is going to do in Peru in May by donating. Designate PERU in the donation form).
And looking into April, we have a pretty full schedule. Check your schedule and plan a packing with your group, either in the end of March. There is room in May and beyond.

It is absolute mind-blowing to try and comprehend even a glimpse of the immensity of these five words:
“And the Word became flesh.”
There is so much to dig into there, but I am going to just write a paragraph I wrote about the visible, the invisible, and my pride.
God created our eyes and brain to interpret light (that He provides) as it reflects off matter (that He provides), so that we can “see” things. These things we see, we call “visible”. When we think of things that are “invisible”, we think of them as less real. We base our perception of reality on what we can “see” with our God-given eyes and brain, and His light and matter. We seldom think of the “invisible” or give it value. How blind and short-sighted and proud!
2 Corinthians 4:18- “while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen;
for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

WE DID IT!!!
With Lots of help from people hosting food packings, which involves raising the funds, gathering the volunteers to come actually pack the food, which is lots of fun, to all the people who donated canned goods, to those who came and loaded the trailer, we have sent a trailer on its way to Haiti.
LET’S DO IT AGAIN!!! It’s time to get your food packing date on the calendar. We have three packings so far for October. Plan to raise the funds, line up friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, club members to come pack the food and set a date. It’s as simple as that. Let’s fill up the calendar for the rest of the year.
WOW!!! We updated this information this morning and this afternoon we have another food packing scheduled for November 20!! Keep them coming!
